- Shahdeniz II: Fabrication of Jackets and Subsea Assets, Consolidated Yard Upgrades - Shah Deniz gas field is the largest natural gas field in Azerbaijan, located ca. 70 km southeast of Baku, at a depth of 600 meters. Shah Deniz Stage 2, one of the largest gas developments in the world, will help increase European energy security by bringing Caspian gas resources to markets in Europe for the very first time.
- SOCAR Polymer - SOCAR Polymer, the project of international standing, is the first of its kind and scale in the petrochemical industry, to be implemented in Azerbaijan over the past 40 years. It consists of Polypropylene (PP) and High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) plants within the territory of the Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park (SCIP). With 184 and 120 KTA of production capacity respectively, the PP and HDPE plants started operations in 2018. For the implementation of the project, SOCAR Polymer engaged an EPC contractor – the Italian engineering company Tecnimont. Project Budget: 816 mln $.
- Absheron EPS - The ABSHERON field is located offshore Azerbaijan in the Caspian Sea in 500 meters depth of water, at about 100 km south east of Baku. Total and SOCAR entered an agreement in 2016 for the first phase of the field’s development. The development programme was approved in 2017 and will cost an estimated $1bn. Initial gas production from the field is expected in late-2021, with an estimated initial production of five billion cubic meters (bcm) of natural gas a year.
